Running from the 19th of May to the 10th of June 2012 will be the first ever Chelsea Fringe. Entirely independent from the Chelsea flower show but with its support, the Chelsea Fringe will bring together an exciting mixture of public horticultural spectacles across London. Design, Architecture and Sustainablility

Held once a year at the ExCel Centre in London, Ecobuild brings together architecture and related products for 3 days of conferences, seminars and trade. A few of us from Boskke made the short trip over to check out some of the new urban green initiatives and products. We also made a point of staying for one of the seminars, The City After Now, hosted by Jay Merrick with guest speaker Michael Sorkin. Check out the preface here. It was truly an excellent presentation.

Kew Gardens – Boskke Display

Boskke was invited to create a canopy of Sky Planters at The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. The installation is part of the Tropical Extravaganza which runs at Kew Gardens until Sunday 4th of March 2012.

Hydro Organism Responsive to Urban Stimuli

If you are in or around the London area then this is a must see exhibition. Currently showing at the Architectural Association is an exciting, interactive project titled H.O.R.T.U.S (Hydro Organism Responsive to Urban Stimuli). Created by the London-based Studio EcoLogic the show emphasises the changing way in which we perceive and relate to green organisms that are vital to our existence. The show runs until the 11th of February.

Atlanta Home Improvement

The January addition of Atlanta Home Improvement magazine has included Boskke in its feature, titled Breath Easier: “Since most of us spend around 90% of our time indoors, the air we breathe there is vitally important. Greenery brings more life to your environment, and the Sky Planter has little hassle with all the rewards, says Becky Sue Becker, owner of Designs by BSB in Atlanta.”
